Captain

Hi! I am Captain Daniel Raeburn owner and operator of Fin-S Charters/ Morehead City Guide Service.  I am USCG (United States Coast Guard) Licensed and am fully insured.  I was born and raised in Carteret County and have grown up fishing the local waters of this area.  With over twenty years of fishing experience, my knowledge of inshore and offshore techniques is extensive.  Along with having my charter business, I am a Physical Education teacher at a local elementary school.  I attended East Carolina University and earned a bachelors degree in Physical Education along with a masters degree in Health Education.
     I specialize in backwater charters for redfish, flounder, and trout.  I often use popping corks, gulp baits, and top water plugs.  You can't beat the excitement of a red fish smashing your top water bait.
    Along with backwater fishing, I also do nearshore fishing.  This includes areas around the inlets and wrecks in the ocean (ranging from 3 miles to 25 miles offshore).  I enjoy fishing these waters because of the number of fish species is so great.  On the surface we catch: spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, king mackerel, amberjacks, dolphin (mahi), wahoo, and sailfish.  On the bottom we catch: black sea bass, trigger fish, snapper, grouper, and sharks.
